Bridal showers

And if the wedding is here too, the shower doubles as the first time half the wedding party sees the room.

A bridal shower held at the wedding venue does a second job for free: the mothers, the sisters and the bridesmaids all see the room months before the day, which settles an enormous number of small arguments before they start.

It works whether or not the wedding is here. But if it is, say so when you book — we will put you in the space you are marrying in rather than wherever suits the diary.

How they usually run

Three to four hours, daytime, thirty to sixty people, with food that is grazed rather than served. The practical asks are a gift table, somewhere to stand for the photograph everybody wants, and enough space between tables that a room full of handbags does not become a hazard.

If you want a champagne toast rather than a full bar, that is a conversation worth having — the bar is ours, and a single toast is not the same booking as an open bar.

Answers

Asked before every booking

Can we hold a bridal shower at the venue we are getting married at?

Yes, and it is worth saying so when you book — we will put you in the room you are marrying in so your wedding party sees it in advance.

How many guests suits a bridal shower here?

Twenty-five to sixty. The hall seats three hundred, so a smaller party is laid out toward the hearth to feel intimate.

Can we just have a champagne toast rather than a bar?

Yes. Tell us what you want the drinks to be and we will price that rather than a full bar.
