The decision date is the whole argument
Many venues need the call a week or two ahead so they can schedule setup. That means you are forecasting Ohio weather ten days out, which is not forecasting. Couples in that position tend to pick indoors and spend the day watching perfect weather through a window.
Where both sites are held for your date - as they are here - the call is made on the morning by whoever is looking at the sky. Nobody moves chairs in the rain, and nobody gives up a clear evening because of a Tuesday forecast.
What the chapel does well
Wood the whole way up, chandeliers hung low, two hundred and twenty-five seats. It is acoustically kind, which matters more than couples expect - vows in the open air are frequently inaudible past the fourth row without amplification you then have to hire.
It is also weather-proof in both directions. Shade in August is not a small thing.
What the outdoor site does well
Light, and scale. A concrete patio ringed with landscaping holding two hundred and fifty, with the grounds behind it - that is a different photograph from any interior, and it is the one people picture when they picture a country wedding.
It is also where golden hour lives. If the light matters to you, build the timeline around it rather than hoping it lands.
A practical order
- Confirm both sites are held, and get the decision deadline in writing.
- Plan the timeline for outdoors, because it is the one with the light constraint.
- Check the indoor version still works at that time - ceremony start, room turn, dinner.
- Stop thinking about it until the morning.
See both when you walk the property. Fifteen minutes standing in each settles it faster than four months of deliberation.
